The movie campaign has received responses recently from more of your favorite DS9 actors. The list originally included Louise Fletcher and Andrew Robinson, but that list now includes Louise Fletcher, Andrew Robinson, J.G. Hertzler, Alexander Siddig, Marc Alaimo, Armin Shimmerman and Casey Biggs. For more information, check out our "Celebrity Responses" section. In other news...
As you know, the “Make a DS9 Movie” Petition was sent in, but we’re still accepting signatures as before. The good news is that it continues to grow. It still makes a good statement to Paramount as to just how many people are committed to this, and the petition will remain integral to this campaign. So be sure to sign it!
That said, our main focus of this campaign will be on the Postcard campaign from here on out. At present time, it stands the best chance of working. Letter writing campaigns have a higher success rate than online petitions. If each person who signed this petition sent a postcard to Paramount, we can almost guarantee a response. It is a fact that Paramount considers each letter representative of the opinions of 1,000 people. Since online petitions aren’t counted the same way, we feel that we must turn our attention fully to urging you to send postcards. If all 16,000 of you send in postcards, we’ll actually be saying that 16 million people would go to see a movie. If you multiply that by the cost of movie tickets, you (not to mention Paramount) will find out that a DS9 movie would be very profitable. But don’t take it from us, find out for yourself. Send in a postcard!
Are you going to a convention anytime soon? Then you might be able to help us in a new way. Check out the “Flyers” section on our site for details on how you can print out flyers for free to spread out at conventions, or to send to everyone you know!
For all of your questions about the campaign, we’ve established a new Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section to our site. But if you still have more questions or comments, e-mail ds9_fan1@yahoo.com. We make sure that all of your questions are answered, so don’t be shy.
We’re still accepting DS9
fan tributes for the 10th anniversary, so see our
“Fan Tributes” section for more details!

The Postcard Campaign
Even though the petition has been sent in, there are other ways you can help. We
need you, the fans, to send in a postcard with the words "MAKE A DS9 MOVIE"
prominently written and only those words with your name and address so they know
who sent it and where it comes from. This, along with the petition, will
hopefully let Paramount know what we think!
Send it to:
Rick Berman c/o Paramount
Studios
5555 Melrose Avenue
Hollywood, CA 90038
Special Thanks Goes
To…
We hope that we will succeed in getting DS9 at least some recognition
for it's contribution to the Star Trek franchise. But no matter the outcome, we
already have proven that it will never be forgotten. The Postcards you send,
along with the petition and the tributes you write are testaments to our support
of this series, and as long as you keep the memory alive, DS9 will live on
forever as well. We'd like to thank all of you for your continued support,
including our growing list of faithful web supporters. Without you, this
campaign obviously wouldn't be possible. And this site never would have been
possible without the help and support of Dick Davies from
StarfleetLibrary.com. We'd also like to thank the powers that be
at Paramount for keeping DS9 on the air for seven memorable years, and the
actors, writers, producers, and staff that brought it to life. Special thanks
also goes to the people at Pocket Books for continuing the DS9 saga in printed
form. They've proven that DS9 can still be as successful as it was on
television.
